With “WiFi Priority“ it is finally possible to prioritize to which available network to connect first!

Generally all iOS devices rank available WiFi networks alphabetically and connect to the topmost known network in that list first. However, there are situations in which you may want to avoid that and prefer to connect to another known network instead. This is where “WiFi Priority“ comes to your aid. It simply lets you disable the auto-join function for selected networks and thus prioritize the one that you prefer by creating and installing a configuration profile on the device.

Instead of making your device forget the topmost networks you can now prevent them from automatically connecting first. Just enter the network information for the networks you don’t want to auto-connect and let “WiFi Priority“ do the rest. Afterwards your preferred available network will always connect first and you will still be able to use the other networks by just tapping on them in your network list.

NOTE: WiFi Priority does currently not work with enterprise encryption. Supported encryptions are WEP, WPA-Personal and WPA2-Personal.

Pros and cons of WiFi Priority app for iPhone and iPad

WiFi Priority app good for

---------- Finally my iPad is automatically connecting to the 5 GHz network instead of the 2.4 GHz one (okay, I could’ve renamed networks to accomplish that, but it is nicer this way). 6 Stars! ;) (It would be nice if the app would show a list of network names to choose from …)
パスワード? パスワード求められるのって、自動で繋がりますか? 普通に使えてます。 FOR_FREE_INTERNETとか勝手に繋がらなくなってとても快適です
This app serves a very specific purpose, and all the negative reviews I’ve seen so far stem from the fact that the users who left them completely missed the app’s point. Additionally, contrary to what has been stated here, what it promises and effectively delivers CANNOT be accomplished via the regular graphic user interface, but only with a custom configuration profile. This app streamlines the creation of such profile for you. Please do the App Store community a big favor and refrain from writing misleading reviews when you have no more than a dim understanding of the issue being dealt with in the first place.
Has a very user friendly installation interface. Just let the app guide you through the process, and youll be good to go.
I have been searching for months for a solution to the problem of connecting automatically to the last network on a list four on our wireless router without having to delete the passwords on the other three. This app does exactly that! A little clumsy but it works! Remember to enter the name of each network exactly as it appears from the WiFi. I learned the hard way that the name is case sensitive! Once I figured out how to use the app, it is well worth a buck!

Some bad moments

Piece of junk, you can do everything this app does with apple configuration tool. ALL It does is let u disable a wifi network one by one, no prioritize toon whatsoever. Got a refund.
This app does NOT prioritize preference of connection to available wifi networks. It simply inhibits auto-login on specified networks. How could this have passed the Apple iTunes Store app QA????
Instead of supporting WIFI profiles as the name and description implies, this app simply provides a lame interface into joining WIFI networks and disabling auto join option in the process. Something I can do from IOS Settings myself. Not useful.
Updated to iOS 9. and the app no longer works. Unable to create profile
Would love it if I could sync profile configurations over iCloud, to make it easier to install profiles on multiple devices.
worked like a charm after realizing how many hoops I needed to jump through just to download the iPhone Configuration Utility to do the same thing & 100x easier!
